Portraiture is something I do nearly every day as a journalist, and I never tire of it. From corporate executives to authors, artists, and
families, my work gives me a opportunity to meet new people and spend time with them creating an image of them the represents
their own ideas of themselves. I look at portraiture as a collaboration between myself as the photographer and the subject. With
digital cameras, it is easier than ever to show my subjects the images I am making throughout the process and generate ideas about
the images.
